Interview on the powerful export sector of Andalusia, Cope Radio.
The Andalusian export sector is in good shape, with growth close to 5%, thanks to sales in traditional European markets, where it has strengthened its presence, and the opening of new destinations, such as Africa, where it has doubled its presence in the last decade.
The African continent is already the first destination, with 39% of Andalusian companies exporting their products to this market, ahead of Europe, which was the first traditional destination for Andalusian sales. Morocco is the first destination of Andalusian exports on the African continent. One of the companies with a presence in the African market is Silos Córdoba. Founded in 1975, the company is dedicated to the manufacture of steel silos for grain storage worldwide.
According to Juan López, General Director of the company, sales abroad are currently their main business. “Sales in foreign markets represent between 80 and 90% of the company’s turnover. We have been exporting for 24 years and it has become our main business “.
They have always had the support of Extenda – Trade Promotion Agency of Andalusia – to open new markets.
