A total of 67 professionals from 49 Andalusian companies have participated in the technical seminar ‘Business Opportunities in Iran’, organised by the Ministry of Economy and Knowledge, through Extenda (Andalusian Agency for Foreign Promotion), together with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Seville.
Last year alone, Andalusia exported 12.6€ million in value to Iran, which is 77% more than in 2015, placing Andalusia as the ninth largest exporting community to Iran.
The seminar featured different interventions by entities and professionals with extensive experience in international trade and specifically in the Iranian market, among whom has been the Economic and Commercial Advisor of the Iranian Embassy, Pir Piran, he outlined the ‘Business opportunities in Iran for Andalusian companies’.
Among the different presentations, we highlight Extenda’s CEO, Vanessa Bernad, the Ambassador of Iran in Spain, Mohammad Hassan Fadaifard, and the president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Seville, Francisco Herrero.
There were also interesting presentations by How2Go, Extenda’s subsidiary in Iran, Aresbank on payment and banking systems and CESCE, on risk coverage and perspectives.
The day ended with a presentation by Juan Luis de la Cruz, Solutions Manager at Silos Córdoba, about the long export experience of the company in the Iranian market.
